This is the view from out my front window. Every day I watch this maple change colour and see more leaves drop. I love fall. To me it means new beginnings... but also some things coming to an end, like the beautiful sunny weather we had here all summer, and the amazing Penticton Farmer's Market that shuts down several blocks of Main Street every Saturday from May to October. My friend Kim and I went to the last market of the season yesterday. There weren't as many vendors as usual, and not as many street performers, but we did get lucky enough to see the awesome Bowen Island Black Sheep perform.
It's also Thanksgiving here in Canada; time for turkey, pumpkin pie, friends and family. My mom is is charge of turkey dinner this year, so all I have to do is make cranberry sauce and show up hungry! That means lots of time this weekend to work on the Lily of the Valley Shawl pattern I'm designing for all of you. Have a great Thanksgiving weekend everyone!
